hey there!
I’m Stephanie, but you can call me Steph.
Whether you found my site by chance or by seeking it out, I’m glad you’re here. I’m a Nashville-based photographer who specializes in capturing people in their element; predominately as it relates to live music and portrait photography. Some other things you should know about me is that my greatest strength is giving unsolicited music recommendations, I either dress in all black or like I’m from the ’70s (there is no in-between), and I adore coffee in every form, especially if that form happens to be a lavender vanilla latte. Oh, and did I mention that I love music?
Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve always been in awe of the magic that exists at live shows. It’s the kind of magic you want to capture and hold in your hands, so I turned to photography, and it became my vehicle for doing just that. And, to no one’s surprise, I fell in love the second I took my first photo.
A short time later, I’m curating galleries and writing concert reviews for online publications Impressions Magazine, Kinda Cool Magazine, and Acentric Magazine as well as working directly with artists. I’ve had the opportunity to photograph shows in a multitude of venues and cover shows of touring artists such as Quinn XCII, Noah Kahan, and Arlo Parks as well as local artists such as Yam Haus, Durry, and Humbird.
Having your photo taken is an extremely intimate and personal experience, and I don’t take that lightly. I strive to make all my clients feel safe and comfortable during a session to allow their most authentic self to shine through and have them leave the session feeling empowered and beautiful. I feel honored to have the responsibility of capturing people wholly in their element and being able to show them their best selves through my lens.
